A first-timer’s rental checklist

Book at least two weeks ahead for a general event, and a month for a wedding or gala. November through February is high season and the popular pieces go first.
Pick a package that covers your travel days. If the event is out of town, a 5-day package usually costs less than a 3-day plus extensions.
On collection day, try the piece on straight away and photograph its condition. Report anything you find the same day so it is never charged to you.
On return day, do not wash it. Put it back in the bag provided and send it on the agreed date — cleaning and inspection are on us.
